The FNPF Exhibit features the photographic work of artists from across the Arctic and is broken out into two sections. The first section includes artists from across the Circumpolar North. We invite one artist per region to demonstrate the unique perspective and diversity of photographers working in the Arctic. So often, northern stories are told from southern perspectives or for southern audiences. By showcasing this work collectively, we aim to re-focus the lens on storytelling that is of the north—both from a northern perspective and for a northern audience.
Past exhibitors: Evgenia Arbugaeva, Brian Adams, Andrea Gjestvang, Terje Abusdal, Antti Leinonen, Elena Anosova, Tiina Tormanen, Johan Bavman, Christian Solbeck, Katie Basile, Elin Hoyland, Maja Daniels, Nadia Sablin, Robby Dick, Weronika Murray, Denise Patterson, Yael Bar Cohen, Agnieszka Sosnowska, Birthinnguaq Lange, Aleksi Poutanen, Evan Rensch, Carl Johan Utsi, Heida Helgadottir, Angu Motzfelfdt, Lisa Milosavljevic, Peter Mather, Jenny Irene Miller.
The second part of the exhibit is an Open Call of images from photographers in northern Canada, ranging from professionals to those at the beginning of their photographic practice. We are proud to feature their work here with submissions from across the Northwest Territories, Yukon, Nunavut and Nunavik. Thank you to everyone who shared their work with us!
